It's been a CRAZY week here at SRFER! It started off with a call coming in from a friend of the rescue about some neglected donkeys in Prospect, CT whose owner died suddenly and is now ending with the threat of a Nor' Easter dropping 4-8" of snow in CT and the arrival of a $100.00 Saddlebred mare from Camelot Auction.
Looks like "Libby" the Thoroughbred mare saved from Camelot in early July will be leaving for her new home in NY this Sunday thanks to our favorite shipper, Auntie Lorraine from 24-Carrot! Just completed and approved an application on "Tommy" today from a family in Danielson who are planning on coming out this Sunday to meet Tommy and try him...crossing fingers that this AWESOME pony finally gets a home! Spoke with Samson's soon to be adoptive family today to confirm his adoption and that he will be leaving CT and headed for North Carolina in early November..lucky boy gets to miss out on New England winter!
